I started coming here many years ago, I believe around 2016-2017. I haven't had any issues what so ever, until about 2 years ago. I've had the same insurance all these years and to my knowledge, it was always accepted by this office. While I was pregnant, I had a filling fall out. I got it fixed with no issues. Doctor says it's a clean break. I don't need X-rays (I'm also into my second trimester and don't want x rays) - it's a quick easy fix. Less than a week later, same filling comes out again, while I'm flossing my teeth. As I talk to someone about making another appointment to get my replacement, I was told that my doctor isn't available that day and as they are the only doctor who accepts my insurance, I have to wait a few more days to get it replaced. UM, WHAT!? I was never notified that this dentist office is now out of my network when I had been coming here for many years, and always using my insurance. Is that not standard practice to notify clients? When UCSD stopped taking my health insurance, I was called, emailed, and sent letters in the mail continuously until the last day they stopped taking my insurance. So yet again, would you believe my filing fell out for a third time! Now I'm ultimately fed up with the quality of the work at this office and I went to another dentist. Maybe a few months later, I received a call asking if I was going to set an appointment for my next cleaning when I told them I would not be returning. I also pointed out that I received a bill asking for more payment for the first filling, that included x-rays, which didn't happen, and I asked for it to be removed. Why would I pay for a service I never received? And I also declined because I was pregnant? Well, as it has been many months after that issue, I still get a bill with the x rays on it. If you want a payment, I need an updated and accurate bill. As an office, please do better.

Seeking a new dentist? This is the place you should stop by. Today was my fifth visit, I think, and the service is always excellent. I finally had time to write this review because they truly deserve it. The service is fast and easy, and everyone is kind and friendly. Dr. Brian is very gentle and explains everything clearly, which makes me feel calm and safe. Steven cleaned my teeth and did a great job, he was careful and gentle the entire time. The staff is very helpful with insurance and costs, and they always explain the price before treatment. They are very respectful to all patients. The office is clean and modern, and I always feel comfortable here. Parking is also free and very easy under the building. After visiting many dentists, I think Bella Vita Dental is the best of the best. I recommend this place to everyone.

The best experience at Bella Vita! From the check-in process, to the appointment itself. The staff is amazing, the most genuine, welcoming group of people. I picked this office originally for their reviews and they didn't disappoint. Thank you to everyone at Bella Vita who made my first visit a 10/10.

Awesome dentist! 🦷 🪥 They make everything feel stress-free even when getting a cavity filled. Everyone is really nice! I went here for 7 years and wish they could be my dentist forever. Would highly recommend!

I've been coming to this dentist for years now and they always do a great job. The first time I went, I was nervous as I had fallen behind on my cleaning schedule. They took care of me, were very gentle, and completely non-judgmental. Everyone at this practice has always been very professional, clean, straightforward, and kind. I'd highly recommend them.
