Urban Dental has truly been a blessing for me, and after going there for the last seven years, I can honestly say they have consistently provided outstanding care. I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience. Everyone is kind, patient, and understanding, and I have always felt genuinely supported and cared for. What I especially want to share is how life-changing Botox for my jaw has been. I was very hesitant at first because I had been dealing with jaw pain for so long that it had become part of my everyday life. Eating was uncomfortable, my jaw was constantly hurting, and I even experienced swelling in my temples. I kept putting it off because I was unsure, but finally deciding to do it was one of the best choices I have made for myself. The relief has been incredible. It has made such a difference in my day-to-day life, and I only wish I had done it sooner. For anyone who has lived with this kind of jaw pain, tension, and discomfort, I cannot recommend this enough. Urban Dental gave me real relief and helped me feel like I did not have to keep living with that pain. After seven years as a patient, I can say with complete confidence that Urban Dental is exceptional. I am beyond grateful for the care I have received and would absolutely give them five stars. I highly recommend them, especially to anyone considering Botox for jaw pain.

Update 2026: We've been patients of Dr Kim since she started her practice. She is so capable and has assembled a top team in downtown SD. Her offices have all the most up-to-date tech, making visits more efficient and comfortable. It's an efficient, professional and caring dental office. Dr Kim has a gentle touch, reviews treatment plans and costs with you, offer options and answers all your questions regarding dental care. The whole team makes sure you are well taken care of - from assistants, hygienists and the office team.

I always have anxiety going to the dentist and I have to say this was one of the best experiences I've had. Everyone took great care to make sure I was comfortable throughout my visit and the hygienist was easily the most gentle hygienist to work on my teeth and they did a fantastic job. Would easily recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist office.

Dental visits are one of my least favorite activities. However, for 7 years now Dr. Kim and team have provided the best dental experiences I’ve had. Initially, I was “wowed” by the state-of-the art technology—detailed photos of the inside of my mouth, TV screens on the ceilings, and ultrasonic treatments that minimize scraping (thank god). But it’s the staff that make the difference. They are kind, professional, and they remember little things—like needing to lay my chair back a bit (to accommodate my spinal fusion). I know them by name, and enjoy chatting with them. Dr. Kim herself is sharp, and professional, yet down to earth. She’s also a smooth perfectionist who notices the tiniest details, and sets an example as she works. She instructs staff and patients on what to look for with encouragement, positivity, and empathy. I know she helps keep my teeth healthy too. In a nutshell, I think Dr. Kim is a top-notch dentist who surrounds herself with staff to match. I recommend her with high praise.

I’m so thankful for Dr. Kim and her staff. I was having pain in my front teeth. I am a super anxious person when it comes to the dentist, definitely next level nervous. I went and was met with her dental assistant and she was super kind and gentle. Then met with Dr Kim. She informed me all my pain was from grinding my teeth. She recommended an upper night guard and Botox to relax my jaw. Who knew Botox could give relief with in 24 hours! Not only was I grinding my teeth at night but even during the day. Dr Kim reassured me I wasn’t loosing my teeth, and that everything I was experiencing was a result of grinding my teeth. She is great, super professional, kind, gentle and sensitive to my anxieties. From the front desk, to assistants, to Dr Kim, I can’t say enough great things. Thank you Urban Dental!
