Google Reviews
MyJoi Bates 3 weeks agoThis is the first Google review I’ve ever written. Bayan the hygienist was amazing, she was very sweet and welcoming. She gave me great advice about how to care for my teeth and I hope to be scheduled with her again! However, Dr. AAKASH I do not recommend. He was rude both of my appointments and spoke very condescendingly which almost caused me to not return. I don’t leave bad reviews because people have bad days and I give grace with that because I want it to be given to me, but the second time he did it made me feel like this was intentional not a bad day. The office is a really nice location and the front desk has very respectful and nice ladies that always welcome you with a smile. I will be returning because I love the location and all the other staff! Hoping to be paired with a doctor who I can build a good relationship with!
Kelly K 3 weeks agoI give the dentists and hygienists three stars. I wish Dr. Reznikov still saw patients, though. The receptionists are generally fine. However, watch the billing. Compare your EOBs to what you paid to the office. They will cheat you and say you owe X because the insurance doesn't cover it or only part of it. They don't actually look at the EOB they receive from the insurance. If they did, then they would realize they overbilled you because the insurance covered more than they thought. When I called to speak with billing, I had to go through the front desk ladies. I explain to them, they put me on hold, then give me an explanation of what billing said, and the process continues until you insist on speaking with billing or the woman decides to actually speak with you. I've had this happen numerous times over the past couple of years, so it's not a one-off occurrence. The worst part is that the billing lady started to raise her voice a little and talked over me the last time, as I was explaining what I saw on my EOB. Don't let her try to convince you that portions of your payment went to one service, so you still owe a balance on another service. It shouldn't matter how they disburse the money amongst the services rendered. All I care about is how much I paid you and how much my insurance says I owe. Also, they won't bill your insurance for certain services if they believe the insurance won't cover the expense. I caught them not billing a treatment that, to be honest, most insurance won't cover, but mine will. They said I owed out of pocket for that. I said absolutely not. Bill the insurance for the service because it's covered in full. If the insurance tells me otherwise, then I will pay you. I never had these problems when they were downstairs. Maybe because Dr. Reznikov was actually in the office, and my understanding is that he is the primary owner. However, I could be mistaken about that. I guess cheating patients out of tens or hundreds of dollars gets them a nicer and larger office upstairs. I don't usually post reviews, but I couldn't stand how I was treated by billing the last time, and the numerous times they incorrectly billed me. I thought about speaking with the office manager, but that'll probably get swept under the rug. The biller should know what she's doing and should never talk over a customer. That's just poor customer service.
Eraina Nicholson 2 months agoI cannot say enough wonderful things about Dental Group of Chicago and the South Loop office. The level of professionalism, compassion, patience, and genuine care they provide is truly phenomenal and award-winning. I especially want to recognize Dr. Patel for going above and beyond the call of duty to help me throughout my situation. Even after discovering that the issue with my teeth may have actually been caused by my own use of an over-the-counter mouth guard, Dr. Patel continued to treat me with kindness, professionalism, concern, and grace. That says everything about the integrity of this office. I also have to acknowledge Robin, who is truly an angel. She is not only exceptional at her job, but she brings something even more meaningful to patient care — humanity. She has always made me feel heard, respected, valued, and genuinely cared for. Every once in a while… in fact, very rare and seldom, do you find individuals like Robin and Dr. Patel. They are truly exceptional, and I am so grateful to trust my dental health and hygiene in their care. Thank you both again for the phenomenal service you rendered to me today. It did not go unnoticed.
J CH 2 months agoDear Dr., I am writing to respectfully request a review of the charges for my visit on 2/5. During this appointment, I was billed $700 for procedure D9951 (Limited Occlusal Adjustment).I have been a loyal patient of Dental Group of Chicago for 13 years. Throughout this time, I have consistently trusted your team with my oral health and have appreciated the high quality of care provided. However, I was surprised by the cost of this specific procedure. After researching the "Usual, Customary, and Reasonable" (UCR) rates for the Chicago area, I found that the average fee for D9951 typically ranges between $75 and $175. The current charge of $700 (including $100 consultation) is significantly higher than the regional market average. Given my long-standing relationship with your practice, I am asking if you would consider a fee reduction to bring this charge closer to the standard regional rate. I value our relationship and would like to resolve this balance promptly. I am happy to discuss a fair adjustment or an immediate payment for a revised amount. Thank you for your time and for the many years of excellent service. I have discussed this with your office staff but with no avail. Sincerely, Jim
Faris Kabaklic 4 months agoDr. Trinh and Kat were fantastic! This was the smoothest cavity filling I’ve experienced. They both put me at ease and finished the procedure in just 20 minutes. Thank you so much for a pain-free experience! 🦷🪥
