Wow, truly can not recommend enough! I found this place nearby while visiting Houston due to tooth ache and needed in quickly. I put an application Saturday night online and first thing morning morning they called to schedule me for Tuesday! Only waited in the seating area for a few after checking in. Assistants and front desk staff were lovely. Doctor was amazing! They fit me in for a second appointment just two days after my first, which is super convenient! This was the first time I had been away from my newborn and was nervous, but staff made me feel welcome and relaxed. I expressed to the doctor my situation and he assured me I could step out at any time during the appointment if needed, and he even gave me a break to go check on my baby. All staff here is friendly and you can definitely tell they are a close-knit group, well mannered, and really care for the patients, and each other! This was sincerely a breath of fresh air. I would for sure recommend this place to anyone for their dentistry needs. The cleanliness of their space, the quick & easy scheduling, the kind and personable staff, the wonderful doctor, and calm environment created- I mean, seriously, this is a WONDERFUL practice!! Thank you downtown dental! Ps, Melissa is such a delight. Loved chatting with that girl haha!

I had a great experience and the office personnel were all friendly and warm. I reached out last Friday via their site to request an appointment for some discomfort. I received a call on Saturday to schedule an appointment for this morning. I did not expect such a prompt response and that first engagement with the office was a good sign, IMO. My visit was smooth, options easy to understand, after a quick and comfortable treatment, I was all done. Heck, I enjoyed the whole thing so much I decided to schedule my cleaning with them and surprise again- they could get me in right then. Now my teeth are clean and I have a new dentist. 😆 10/10, no notes. Thanks for putting me at ease and for your kindness.

I was disappointed with the quality of service. I missed my regular dental appointments for a year and half. When I went in I expected the usual X-rays, regular cleaning and visit with my dentist to fix cavities etc. Instead, the hygienist spent less than 10 minutes doing some superficial scaling, spraying my whole face because she didn’t know how to use the water spray And telling me that I have to come back for my cleaning because there was too much plaque to clean. In my previous experience, even if there is too much plaque to clean, the hygienist will at least spend 30 minutes descaling, Flossing and polishing and make an appointment for Me to come back later for deep cleaning. Second, I complained about sensitivity on my left side. The Dentist could not figure out accurately what the issue was. He couldn’t tell me anything from the x-ray. I said that I was having food pockets on the left side, and I felt that my wisdom tooth was going sideways and his response was let’s Take out the wisdom tooth. He didn’t even verify in the x-ray if that was accurate. He guessed there was a cavity or two that needed to be fixed and again I did not feel Like he was making an Informed decision. I just did not feel comfortable relying on this diagnosis. Then at the end, they charged me for my regular visit when I didn’t get any cleaning, flossing or polishing. This place didn’t used to be like this. I was deeply disappointed.

Very happy with Dr. Johnson and the team. The location is convenient, but they’re not resting on their laurels just because they have a great spot. The staff is friendly, the facility is tidy, appointments generally run on time, my hygienist is great, and Dr. Johnson does great work efficiently. Never trying to overdo things or create work. I’ll keep coming back.

I will never go to another dentist!! Every person here is so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The location is easy to find and access through the tunnel or from street level. The office is clean and up to date. Dr Johnson is a great dentist and very friendly. Meleesa is a one of a kind hygienist. She truly cares about her patients and makes the whole experience feel comfortable. She is very knowledgeable and experienced. I can’t recommend this office, Dr Johnson, Meleesa, and the rest of the staff enough!
