I'm new to Nashville from Atlanta and been to many dentists over the years. Usually you barely see them once you're in the chair, they come in at last minute, do the work and leave. Not Dr. Worthy. He came in and introduced himself and was quite friendly, not some know-it-all intern fresh out of dental school which I usually get. He is an older gentleman and clearly very experienced in all sorts of dentistry. He explained everything to me and reassured me about my concerns of pain and complications which I had on my last trip to one of those "other dentists". He made me feel comfortable, and that is a huge accomplishment considering I usually have panic attacks in the dental chair. The procedure was completely painless and I was very pleased. He also advised me of three other pressing problems I needed taken care of very soon, my old dentists never did that. I also was happy his office took me on same-day as a walk-in. The receptionist was very knowledgeable and worked with my insurance company to get me the best deal. I am going to Dr. Worthy for all my dental work as long as I live in Nashville! I hope you do too!

Worst dentist of my life. The 2nd time I went, they opened 30 min late and didn't reschedule. Instead I sat there spitting out my blood and spit because the pump wasn't working. I never met the dentist in 2 visits. I only saw the hygienist who was friendly, but asked so many questions while my mouth was open, and not the yes/no ones. This is so common it's a bit in comedy routines, but apparently it's still a thing. I wanted to see a dentist to determine if I had a infection, but wasn't able to see one. Then had to wait another month for a new dentist to get authorized. So glad I don't have to go here anymore. The front desk staff was nice and the waiting area was ok.

Went 2 weeks ago for a partial extraction! I felt he was getting impatient trying to take it out and once they were done I was not given any instructions about after care..only to not remove gauze for a hour! That’s it! Fast forward now 2 1/2 wks later all my teeth hurt and gums are super sensitive! I can barely eat anything because it hurts to bite down! Ive never experienced this before and especially after an extraction which I’ve had 2 already! Such unprofessional and the staff too! Definitely will be finding someone else to fix this issue!

I had a bad experience here and won't be going back. Dr. Worthy is undeniably an experienced Dentist. But with age, sometimes one can lack patience. I admit to having anxiety issues about going to the dentist. After a consult & Xrays with Dr. Worthy, he assured me he could extract the tooth that was causing me such trouble. When I went for the extraction I broke out in a cold sweat and he gave me a few minutes to relax. When he came back to extract the tooth after numbing me of course, the tooth broke before he could fully extract and my mouth started bleeding. I was fighting back tears trying to be brave, but this was exactly my worst fear. I wasn't hysterical or saying anything because I was in pain at that point. He sighed ... told his assistant I was too uptight and to pack my mouth with gauze and give me a pamphlet for a place across town to finish the extraction. Totally unprofessional. They made no attempt to call the other place to see if they could get me in. I left the office in pain, bloody mouth and yes tears. Thankfully, because of that pamphlet, I went home and called the other place and because of the way I was talking (it's hard to talk with bloody gauze), they told me to come over. It was a beautiful experience there. This was during COVID, but they worked me in as quickly as possible, put me to sleep, and successfully extracted the tooth. You've heard of gentle Dentistry? Don't expect it with this Dentist. I would say they're no frills Dentistry. Dr. Worthy is experienced & efficient, but neither he nor his staff were concerned enough about me to pick up the phone and arrange a smooth transition for me in a time of need.

Been a patient for 20 years. Could not have been blessed with a better dentist. He has a wonderful bedside manner and makes you feel very comfortable. He is also gentle and makes procedures pain free Office staff is also amazing and very helpful.
