I had such a great experience at 4th Street Dental and I never thought I’d say that about a dental appointment. Dr. Henderson and the entire practice were amazing from start to finish. One of the reasons I chose this practice is because it’s owned by a Black woman. It honestly felt good being in a space that felt welcoming and comfortable. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and professional. I had a deep cleaning today and Marisol was absolutely amazing. She was friendly, informative, gentle, and made sure I understood everything throughout the process. You can tell they truly care about their patients and the quality of care they provide. I’m genuinely glad I established care with this practice. 10/10 experience… highly recommend!

I was able to schedule quickly for tooth pain that I was experiencing. Luv the total vibe of the office, from the curated scents to the decor. It’s not your clinical dental office.

Everyone is so nice and genuinely care about your dental health. Everyone is so easy to talk to. It’s super clean and super lively in there. They get to the point and explain everything so you get a clear understanding of what they want to tell you. It was super easy to schedule my 1st appointment and became even easier for each one after. They try their best to work with YOUR schedule. 10/10 recommend them to everyone who asks me for a dental office. I love this place! Amazing!

Dr Henderson is such a great dentist! Her assistants and office staff are as well. Wait time is minimal and they are all kind and flexible. If you are looking for a new dentist I highly recommend 4th St Dental!

I strongly recommend that prospective patients avoid 4th Street Dental Studio as their administrative staff adjusts to the new ownership. However, I enjoyed my visit and am disappointed that I cannot continue my care here. I found 4th Street Dental Studio based on my insurance, Medical Mutual’s, list of providers. 4th Street Dental Studio turned out not to be in-network. The recent change in ownership is not yet reflected on Medical Mutual’s provider list. I completed the insurance forms sent by 4th Street multiple days ahead of my first appointment but was not told until after receiving care that I would be paying full price out of pocket. I am especially disappointed because I am young, and visibly so, so I would expect attentive staff to take greater care with insurance information. When I directly asked front desk staff whether 4th Street Dental Studio is in network, I was plainly told “yes”. After speaking with another member of their staff, I was told they are not in network. However, they do “accept” my insurance, a nuance I am learning now. I am now on the hook for the front desk staff’s mistake. I had a cavity filling scheduled for two business days after my first appointment as a follow-up. This turned out to be a precarious position with 4th Street’s 48-hour cancellation policy. My family was looking into the unexpectedly high bill for my first appointment and had reached out to my previous dentist for assistance. Promptly after hearing back from my previous dentist, they encouraged me to call 4th Street to double-check insurance information, which I did immediately, although now with only a short time before my appointment. This phone call is when I found out 4th Street is not in network. Since there was clear error on both my part and 4th Street’s—I have a responsibility to understand my insurance, and 4th Street has a responsibility to know whether a patient is out of network and notify them—I asked if there could be any sort of leniency with the cancellation fee. I was interrupted several times and shown no compassion even as I began to cry on the phone out of frustration. I have had multiple issues with insurance recently, but no care provider has been as inflexible and unempathetic as 4th Street was.
