Oh my gosh, this place is great! Sandina at the front was so friendly and helpful and Dr. Shane was amazing. I took a tumble and loosened a crown on front tooth while visiting Boston and my son found Tend for me. We walked in and they fixed this emergency for me until I can see my doctor at home in California. Thank you Tend!

Tend does a good job, they move quickly to get you in and out as fast as possible (in a good way). This office is quite busy so if you've got questions be ready with them when you see the doctor. Hygienists are very competent and friendly.

I tried Tend after only having one dentist for my entire life with high hopes and 0 dental anxiety. When I arrived, I was 10 min early for my appointment. I then waited 35 min past my appointment time before being taken to the back for my appointment (they did throw on a free fluoride treatment for being 35 min late). I then got into the chair for a cleaning and exam, and x-rays. The x-rays then took 35 min because the machine was malfunctioning and my hygienist didn't get help until after she had me repeat the x-rays a number of times. Finally we did the x-rays and got onto the cleaning. It seemed like this was the hygienist's first job- she didn't know about the tv that was supposed to be playing the show I selected when I made my appointment- the tv was paused and buffering the entirety of my appointment. This isn't a big issue but it is supposed to come with the "tend" experience, and I would have pursued having it fixed if I wasn't already running late. The hygienist got up and left the room 3 times during the cleaning, presumably to get things, but didn't change her gloves (I'm in medicine and they teach you to do this in front of the patient so the patient knows that you have clean hands). So based on what I saw (and I absolutely could have spoken up and I should have but I was already having a less than ideal experience). She then was a bit rough with the cleaning, and I know some of the discomfort is my fault for not having had a cleaning in a bit) but there were notable moments of discomfort. The dentist was very nice, and they did try to be accommodating to get me into seeing the endodontist same day, but quoted me around $1600-1700 with dental insurance for a root canal that I would have to have paid out of pocket and then wait for reimbursement. I am getting a second opinion, and don't think I'll be going back to tend.

You are just a number with tend. After multiple phone calls to confirm I would have the same dentist I had started a multiple appointment procedure, even switching to a different location to make sure I would have the same guy… I showed up and was introduced to someone I had never seen before. While she did a great job, you really feel like an inconvenience if you have any insecurity around seeing the dentist. I left feeling like it was my fault the procedure went over time. The dentist ran out of the procedure room faster than I could grab my bag and look at my smile in the mirror. Nobody told me where to go or what to do. I wandered to the front reception and had to ask what next steps were. If you want a personal experience, someone who listens and will know your issues this isn’t it.

Writing another review because my first one was removed. DO NOT GO HERE! You can’t trust the reviews as they are trying to get negative reviews deleted. This is the worst dentist office I have ever dealt with. It is impossible to get in touch with someone. I held the line for over 10 minutes before hanging up and calling a normal dentist. Beware!
