I had a horrible experience here. They incentivize patients to leave reviews so what you are seeing is artificially inflated. My boyfriend and I both came here, and in short: we were fraudulently overcharged, they lied about filling my cavity, and they chipped my boyfriend’s tooth. My first visit here for a cleaning they told me I had a cavity. I have never had a cavity in my life, so that should have been a red flag. However, I naively scheduled another appointment and had the cavity filled. At the end of the appointment, they told me I owed $100. I was confused because my insurance was supposed to cover standard fillings in full. I argued with them, and after not much pushing they agreed to decrease the charge to $50. That should have been another huge red flag because any legitimate charge should not have been that easily negotiable. Fast forward a year later, and my new dentist and hygienist found no evidence of any filling anywhere. Whatever Dental Town did was either fraudulent or so tiny it was unnecessary. When my boyfriend later saw a different dentist, they saw the fillings and noted the tooth had been chipped in the process of a badly done filling. About a year after, we got random checks in the mail – one refunding the $50 ($450 for my boyfriend) and another with the total interest. I asked our dental insurance and they said we never should have been charged so it was a refund. Do not come here!

I had a concerning experience with this office that raised serious questions about ethics and transparency. I was advised to proceed with dental work that a second opinion later contradicted, which made me question the accuracy of the diagnosis. The overall experience gave me the impression that treatment recommendations may be driven more by billing than by patient care. After reading other reviews and seeing repeated complaints about excessive billing, it became clear that I am not the only one who has experienced these issues.

I had a great experience. I went to the NW location as a new patient and had all my questions answered. The staff was knowledgeable and professional. I recommend coming here if you need a dentist.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Dental Town DC, specifically due to their billing and office management, which ultimately led me to stop care with this practice altogether. I was dealing with illness and contacted the office in advance regarding my appointment. Despite notifying them before the appointment time, I was later told I would be charged a $150 “cancellation/no-show” fee — even though I did not fail to show and explicitly communicated that I could not attend due to being sick. The interaction with the billing/office manager, Michelle, was especially troubling. Instead of addressing the situation professionally or with empathy, the communication was rude, dismissive, and focused entirely on collecting money, rather than patient care or fairness. There was no effort to acknowledge that I gave notice or to work toward a reasonable resolution. What’s most frustrating is that this situation could have been handled easily and professionally. Instead, the office chose to escalate it in a way that felt money-grabbing and punitive, rather than patient-centered. Losing a long-term patient over a questionable fee is shortsighted, and it speaks volumes about the priorities of management.

Horrible Experience, the Dentist preformed a root canal on the wrong tooth claiming he could do the work of an endodontist. I was still in extremely pain so I returned to the office. The dentist explained there office preformed the root canal on the wrong tooth and used up all of my insurance allotted amount. Even though they did the root canal on the wrong tooth I had to pay out of pocket for the correct tooth to have a root canal. I verified that my bill was paid in full at the time of service. Then several months later I get calls and mail saying I have a balance due. This is a fraudulent dental office.
